BOTOX Cosmetic Injections
Botox Cosmetic is a non-surgical injection which can temporarily smooth dynamic lines and wrinkles of the face and neck. A variety of wrinkles can be treated including forehead creases, frown lines, crow’s feet and neck bands. Botox works by blocking the nerve impulses and temporarily relaxing the muscles responsible for wrinkling. The result is a smoother, more youthful and refreshed appearance.
Dr. Tudoran performs the Botox procedure in her office. Local anesthesia is used and the Botox is administered directly into the muscle with several tiny injections. There is no recovery or downtime and patients may resume work and other activities. Like most injectable procedures, some swelling, redness, or bruising can occur at the injection site though these side effects clear up quickly. The results are temporary and the injection will need to be repeated approximately every six months to maintain the desired results.
JUVEDERM Injectable Filler
Injectable fillers are substances which can be injected beneath the skin to fill facial hollows, folds, and wrinkles. There are a variety of fillers available including Restylane and Juvederm. Most fillers offer temporary results and will require repeat treatment in order to maintain your desired appearance and result. Juvederm and Restylane are made of hyaluronic acid. Restylane can smooth wrinkles, shape facial contours, and sculpt the lips, providing results lasting up to one year.
Juvederm can fill in deep facial folds, lines and wrinkles, contour facial features like the chin and cheeks, and restore fullness to the lips, providing results lasting up to six months.
Dr. Tudoran performs the injectable filler procedure in her office using local anesthesia. Then a small needle is used and the filler is injected beneath the skin of the desired treatment area. There is no downtime or recovery and patients may resume their activities. Some patients may experience mild bruising, swelling, or redness at the injection site, but these side effects fade within one to three days. The results are temporary and the injection will need to be repeated to maintain your desired results and appearance.
